SIRP CTA NAMED AN HONORARY CITIZEN OF NIS

Nis, 11 January 2009 - Another sign of appreciation for the SIRP CTA as the City of Nis recognizes the affection, commitment and hard work.

The City of Nis awarded honorary citizenship to SIRP CTA Ligia Ramirez on January 11th special session of the City’s Assembly in recognition of Ms. Ramirez’s endeavors during the process of formulation of the City of Nis Development Strategy and continuous activities in promoting the Strategy and the City itself.

SIRP Closure Ceremony. Warm words of friendship mark the ending of a successful Programme as the start of the next phase is nearing

Belgrade, 17 October 2008 - The Settlement and Integration of Refugees Programme (SIRP), funded by the Government of Italy and implemented by UN-HABITAT, organized the Closure Ceremony on October 17th 2008 at Palazzo Italia in Belgrade, marking the end of the successful three-year implementation in seven cities and municipalities in Serbia. The next phase, which is about to start – the Settlement and Integrated Local Development (SILD) – will be carried out also in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania.
